Professor Carlsmith is Principle Investigator for the UW-Madison LZ group. Carlsmith is LZ institutional board member, LZ L3 for geometry, a member of the LZ publications and speakers board, and a member of the LZ Skin Region task force. Carlsmith has been active in development of GEANT4 simulation geometry and in supervision of detector performance and radiogenic background studies.
